Can pros play a practice round on Wednesday prior to the tournament?
No. Hunters Ridge Golf Course will not be open for practice rounds on Wednesday because of the Pro/Am event that day. Players will be able to play practice rounds any time the week prior to the tournament or on Monday, July 21, and Tuesday, July 22, at a cart fee charge of $17.00 for 18 holes. There will be no charge for walking. To make a tee time, call the golf shop at 319-377-3500.

Can I request a tee time?
All golfers have an opportunity to indicate a preferred tee time when submitting their entry. Those time ranges are all on a "first come, first served" basis and are based on when the tournament committee received the entry fee. Requested tee time preferences are not guaranteed. Special needs for specific tee times should be brought to the attention of Hunters Ridge Golf Course PGA Professional Nate Severin, who will be handling all tournament tee times and pairings. Every effort will be made to accommodate those requests.
Can golf professionals wear shorts?
No. Golf professionals are required to wear trousers during the Pro/Am event. All golfers - professional, senior and amateur - playing in the Greater Cedar Rapids Open Tournament are required to wear trousers.

No. All players are required to walk. However, if a player is permanently disabled and presents documentation from a doctor, the committee reserves the decision to allow riding in a cart in that instance.
Do you supply caddies?
Yes. Area youth will be trained in caddying for this event. The Greater Cedar Rapids Open Committee, thanks to our Caddie Donor - McGrath Automotive - will pay the first $25 per round for each caddie. Additional tips are at your expense, but are greatly appreciated. Be sure to indicate on your entry form whether you would like a caddie. Please note: The GCRO will pay only for the caddies it provides.
